Laura Gauthier
Certified Birth & Bereavement Doula, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, Childbirth Educator
I am a DONA certified Birth Doula, APPA certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist and Stillbirthday Birth and Bereavement Doula. I’m a mother of three beautiful girls and one little boy. My first was born in a hospital, and the other three were born at home. I grew up in Saskatchewan and lived in Fort McMurray for 8 years before moving to Red Deer, where I’ve been a doula since 2012.
I believe that every woman should have the birth she wants and deserves. The transition to parenthood can sometimes be a daunting time, and it’s my goal to make it as smooth as possible, whether it’s your first time, or you’re adding another little one to your family. I help expectant parents make decisions about different aspects for their birth by offering experience and information. In my opinion, there is no “right” way to birth, only the right way for you. It is my goal that all of my families look back on their births with satisfaction and joy.
Christa Duquette
Certified Birth & Bereavement Doula, HypnoDoula Certified, Childbirth Educator
Birth is a journey, an incredible event that should empower everyone as they bring their beautiful baby into their loving arms. It is truly special to witness such a powerful & intimate occasion and to help prepare clients for their birth experience.
My name is Christa Duquette and I’m a DONA Certified Doula serving Red Deer and Central Area including Olds. I've had the pleasure of supporting Hospital Births, Midwife Births, Home Births, VBAC's , Natural Birth, Hypnobabies Births, Epidurals, Surrogate Births and Cesarean Births. My goal is to tailor my services to suit your needs and help assist & guide you in achieving the birth that you desire, whatever your preferences may be. I pride myself on providing personalized care and individualized services to each client on their own pathway.
My passion for birth started in 2004 after my first little one made her wonderful entrance into this world, but it wasn’t until my third pregnancy in 2011 that I learned I could share my passion & train to be a Birth Doula. I began training through DONA International to be part of a volunteer program and since then my Doula Services have grown immensely. I attended my first birth as a doula in October of 2012 and instantly knew something very special had begun.
